Just got this over lunch today, to be installed and tested later in the evening on the Nikon D300s. Frankly, the huge price premium of the Sandisk Extreme IV (at 30 MB per second) is just too much for justification. At only $85 for 16GB, its pretty much similar to the 16GB SDHC (Class 4 at 15 MB per second) card I now shoot on my Nikon D90.

Right, the CF card also came with Sandisk RescuePro software, allowing user to recover corrupted digital media if it ever happens.

Though the Nikon D300s came bundled with the Lexar Professional UDMA (45 MB per second) CF card, its but a 4GB card…

With the dual memory slots in place, its time to lock and load the slots with what is needed for the shoot. Surprisingly, the same 16GB SDHC card bought with my Nikon D90 that allows me to store approximately 2000 JPEG shots can now only store 1400 shots on the Nikon D300s!! I have not figure this one out but will soon…

Nevertheless, this implies the fact that I will need a new 16GB CF card to present me the capability to shoot about 2800 JPEG images! The supplied 4GB CF card is just too small for me!
